Management of Blue Spaces is connected to policy through “Adequate policy, enforcement & information” which strengthens “adequate strategy” and “designated responsibility”. They in turn influence “management” and improve “environmental education” and “information on space & hazards”, with this loop feeding back into “Adequate policy, enforcement & information”. This is a powerful reinforcing Loop, which highlights the importance of linking adequate policy with strategy, management and information. Education and knowledge are important to help inform decision making of citizens but also the strategy development. The designated responsibility becomes important as without this element it would be difficult to implement the management plan.
